Apple’s New Feature Will Let your iPhone Speak in your Voice

Apple has previewed advanced updates for cognitive, hearing, vision, and mobility accessibility for people with speaking syndromes or at risk of losing their speaking abilities. Later in 2023, iPhone users will be able to operate the phone with greater ease.

With the Live Speech and Personal Voice Advance Speech Accessibility, people will be able to set up their personal voice as a synthesized voice, which will be said out loud, making it easier to communicate with their friends and families.

Users will type what they want to express and use commonly said phrases during conversations on FaceTime, calls, Live Speech, or in-person conversations.

The feature is specifically integrated for people with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) or conditions that affect the speaking ability. The upgrade utilizes on-device machine learning keeping the data secured and working seamlessly.

Philip Green, the Board member, and ALS Advocate stated regarding the upgrades that being able to communicate is the most important thing at the end of the day.
